Iain: Hello, friend. Do you know what, I think summer might actually be here.
Heide: Are we now operating a weather-forecasting service?
Iain: I think summer is
about more than just the weather. Long evenings where the sun doesn’t go down until late into the night (at least here in the UK) and everyone’s mind turning to possible summer holidays.
Heide: Have we got time for summer holidays? We seem to be far too busy.
Iain: Well, that’s true. We’re working with
feverish speed on a trilogy –
Heide: A whole trilogy!
Iain: Yes! A whole trilogy of Christmas comedy books. That’s three full-length novels in a brand new series that we will be giving more information on when it comes.
Heide: So, we’re writing wintry fiction while we head towards the hottest time of year.
Iain: Yeah, we never make it easy on ourselves. We do have some very summery fiction out there. Our Sam Applewhite series is one of favourite series and is all about the comedic crime-solving adventures of security specialist, Sam
Applewhite, in the seaside town of Skegness.
Heide: We had a lot of fun writing those. They were our response to what we think of as the “Florida Whackjob” novel. You know, crazy adventures featuring stupid people, guns, drugs –
Iain: Alligators.
Heide: Alligators, boat chases, revenge and murder.
Iain: But we set them in Skegness.
Heide: Which I can assure you is a lovely place on a sunny summer’s day. And
because it’s summer we decided to make the first in the series, Sealfinger, only 99p until 24th June. You can buy it here...
