Iain: Ooh, Snowflake! Now, that’s the one about the unique character of Lori Belkin, who is forced to moved out by her parents because she needs to stand on her own two feet. I’ve always felt that she is the closest we’ve ever come to writing a female Clovenhoof.
Heide: I know what you mean. Lori is a fun-loving agent of chaos who becomes even more chaotic in the book, Snowflake, because she lays her hands on a magic pendant that enables her to – Well, maybe I shouldn’t give everything away.
Iain: I know we say this about a lot of our books but we REALLY did have a lot of
fun writing Snowflake. And it features a donkey.
Heide: But it’s not a talking donkey, is it?
Iain: No, but it’s still cleverer than most of the human characters in the book.
Heide: We definitely have certain themes in our books.
Iain: I’m sure someone will write their English Literature doctoral thesis about us at some point.
