Iain: Woo and, indeed, hoo. Time Jumper 2, Georgian
Pineapple Shuffle, is about our three time-travellers going back to —
Heide: Georgian times?
Iain: As the title implies and they're trying to make a quick profit by selling —
Heide: Pineapples?
Iain: Yes. The plot is really all there
in the title.
Heide: Hang on. Haven’t we written a Georgian time travel story involving pineapples before?
Iain: I was hoping no one would notice. Yes, you’re right.
Oddjobs 4: Out of Hours does feature the foul-mouthed Nina Seth travelling back to Georgian times. But I would point out that book is about interdimensional horrors and saving the world, whereas the much sillier and shorter Time Jumper 2 is about… well, it’s about…
Heide: Underhanded double-crossing, time-travelling cows and a
motorcyclist with something of a death wish.
Iain: Yes. Book 3 in the Time Jumper series comes out in November and features popping back in time to visit a young David Bowie.
Heide: Love it!
Iain: I suspect that’s a bit of wish fulfilment on your part. I think Mr Bowie is one of your answers to the question, “If you could travel back in time and meet anyone, who would it be?”
Heide: Possibly… I wonder which people of the recent or distant past our subscribers would choose to meet if they could travel back in time…?
