Heide: We wrote to you recently promising news about some upcoming books! It’s time for some of that news. A new series,
whoop!
Iain: New books in a new series?
Heide: Wait, you don’t know? This is a worry.
Iain: I was
helping you to build it up! I mean, I do know really. Pretend I don’t.
Heide: Right well, here’s the thing...it’s a new series but one of the books exists already. You’ve read Jaffle Inc, right?
Iain: We wrote it. I’m surprised you’ve
forgotten that.
Heide: I thought we were still pretending...anyway. Jaffle Inc is a book that we wrote a few years ago, and it explores how the future of big tech might send the world in some interesting directions. It turned out that we had more to say on the subject, so there is now a series of those books. We’ve called it the Big Tech series.
Iain: The puns! Mention the puns!
Heide: I was coming to that. We decided that the word ‘tech’ is too much fun and we wanted to make punny titles from it. All of the books in the series use it, so now we have:
- Tech a Piece of my Mind (previously Jaffle Inc)
- Tech It to Ride
- Techin’ Care of Business
- Tech it to Heart
Iain: Puntastic titles. It’s a good job we have this creative outlet, or we’d have to inflict this nonsense on our loved ones.
Heide: Ooh, like asking them to tech out the
bins?
Iain: No, stop...
Heide: Or checking on who’s going to tech the dog for a walk?
Iain: Enough!
