Iain: Hello, friend. Being a writer is a funny thing. All writers have a public persona that their readers get to see but there is also the person behind the book, the private individual. Many writers choose to
write under a pen name, sometimes to keep that private person private and sometimes because they write other books under different pen names.
Heide: For the past year and a bit, we have been participating in a bit of deception. We’ve been working on a
series of books but not writing them under our own name. There are a number of reasons why we did this but part of the reason is because of the silly algorithms Amazon uses to identify what books readers might like. Not everyone who reads one series by us will necessary like books we’ve written in another series.
Iain: Therefore, to avoid confusing the AI algorithms and to avoid disappointing some readers, we’ve written the latest batch of books under the pseudonym of Millie Ravensworth. The Millie Ravensworth books are crime mysteries, filled with the characters and silliness our regular readers might expect, but with a distinctly cozy mystery twist.
