Iain: Hello friend. August is upon us and instead of being a summer of chilling out at the pool side with colourful cocktails, we just seem to be busier than ever.

Heide: The fifth book in the Sam Applewhite series came out at the beginning of the month. Iain: We’re finishing off work on book six too. Jaegermax is already up for pre-order and this is the one where Delia gets a tank.

Heide: I know! It’s been so much fun to write a story in which Sam Applewhite’s junk shop-owning friend gets to restore and drive an old British army tank.

Iain: Which is the main reason why we were at the Armourgeddon military museum in Leicestershire only a couple of weeks ago. The events co-ordinator was very patient with us and answered all our questions as he showed us round.

Heide: We didn’t get to have a ride in a tank though.

Iain: Next time, next time. Maybe you and I will hire a tank and drive around in it for our launch event.

Heide: We also spent a weekend in the woods with some hunters who were on the trail of bigfoot.

Iain: Not real bigfoot hunters, sadly.

Heide: Shh! Don’t spoil the magic!

Iain: What I mean is that we were helping out on a comedy horror film shoot in the middle of the Derbyshire countryside.

Heide: On what was possibly the hottest weekend of the year. It was sweltering. Luckily you were able to cool down by paddling in mud.

Iain: What! No, that is me helping to create a bigfoot footprint for the film!

Heide: And yet you look like you’re having way too much fun...

Iain: It’s true. Also, one of the actors was kind enough to help us film a promo for Jaegermax in between the proper shoots. Perhaps not as professional as the main shoot but we hope to have a filmed advert, starring us two fools available soon.
