Iain: Hello {{ subscriber.first_name | capitalize() or "friend" }}. November is here and though the weather is sometimes quite grim outside, we’re managing to keep ourselves entertained. What have you been up to?

Heide: I met Speedo Mick.

Iain: Speedo who?

Heide: He’d a national treasure. He’s walking 2000 miles around the UK and raising money for charity. Also, he wears Speedos while he is doing it. It was pretty nippy when I met him.

Iain: Speaking of charitable stuff, my wife is a keen supporter of dog rescue charities and we’ve been fostering dogs this year. A new bundle of fluff has come to stay with us. Dino is blind but has been busy exploring our house and has enjoyed going on walks with us.

Heide: Of course, you and I enjoy doing things together, even if we don’t realise we’re together.

Iain: Eh?

Heide: We were both at the Tim Minchin concert at the Birmingham Hippodrome the other week, sat a few rows apart and were utterly unaware that the other one was there.

Iain: Well, it’s good for us to lead separate lives from time to time. I assume you appreciated Tim’s lactose-intolerant ode to cheese in the second half.

Heide: It’s an issue close to my heart.

Iain: In terms of doing thing together DELIBERATELY we’re writing some new books at the moment.

Heide: Indeed, we’re very much keeping ourselves amused with writing books 4, 5 and 6 in the Sam Applewhite crime series. Tigerheart is already up for pre-order for readers who want to get it as soon as it comes out. Click here: readerlinks.com/l/2091876

Heide: Oh, before we go, we must point out that we have got another Makey Flaky Art project event we’d like to invite everyone too.

Iain: But just to be clear that’s just a chance for our readers and us to have a meet up and a chat on Zoom, right?

Heide: Oh, yes. But there will definitely be some making going on. Last time, we did pumpkins.

Iain: For this next meet up we’re going to have a go at biscuit decorating, maybe even making some festive biscuits to hang on the Christmas tree?

Heide: I’ve set up a facebook group, so that we can co-ordinate. I know that not everyone is a fan of Facebook, but it will also be a place where we can share pictures of our finished artwork.
